or:
Heat some water to 80 degrees and pour into a small container. Dip the end of the hose in the water for 10 - 15 seconds. Mount the hose on the tap/filter/carburetor.
If the hose is already on the tap, for example, you can hold the water up to the hose.
It's super easy and much safer than an open flame.
