E55-TC Electronics Ignition
- Excellent Ignition.
- The most dominant brand on the market.
- Fits VZ50-Flagship, MS Super, Monza, Grand Prix, Maxi 2 gears. For WIND-cooled models

- Should it be absolutely top Bosh quality, E55-Bosch design is recommended
- When used for fan coolers, the edge must be turned down to make room for the fan wheel.

- Flywheel turns counterclockwise
- With 12 Volt light coil anti-clockwise
- Plates and capacitor are not necessary
- Green wire goes to CDI and to stop
- Gray wire connects to frame

Consists of
- Flywheel
- CDI
- Stator

1.NOTE
- Used for engines that produce between 1 and 4 HP
- Search for proper frame connection between engine and frame.
- See the list of problems to avoid below
- Use a piston stop when mounting to avoid incorrect mounting.

2. KNOWN ISSUES
- The note that guides the flywheel may be too low.
- The woodruff in the crankshaft may be too deep.
- The thread in the flywheel nut or in the crankshaft may be bad.
- Contact between flywheel and crankshaft may therefore be too weak.

3. SOLUTION
- Refreshed any thread
- If necessary, use a new pig wheel nut.
- If necessary, adjust the height of the note
- Above all, use piston stops when clamping.

4. ADJUSTMENT
On an E-ignition, the ignition timing is adjusted on the base plate.
On an extremely rare occasion this is not sufficient.
In that case, the flywheel can be mounted without a woodruff.
Just taper on flywheel and flywheel shaft fit together well, (which they usually do), - this is not a problem.
Use an ignition gun to be sure ignition timing is correct.

5. TOO LATE IGNITION
Combustion starts so late that the gas only ignites when it is on its way out through the exhaust.
That is why the engine "shoots in the exhaust" - it is the residual combustion that you can hear.

6. TOO EARLY IGNITION
Combustion starts so early that the gas is completely burned while the piston is still on its way up.
Too much pre-ignition can oppose the normal operation and direction of rotation of the engine.
If there is too much pre-ignition, there can be quite violent engine running and a metallic sound.

7. CAUSE
Incorrect ignition is often caused by the flywheel shifting in the same direction as the clamping direction.
If a piston stop is used during assembly, incorrect assembly is avoided.
Such a tool costs just DKK 45.
Also, always use a lighter to check your work.
